About Our Experts
Steve Weinman
In 1984, Steve was recruited by a small Community Health Center (CHC) in Southwest Florida to revive its failed first attempt at automation. After creating and implementing a Practice Management (PM) system, he advanced from IT director to CFO, where he grew the $3 million, single site CHC into a more than $30 million program. When Steve retired in 2013 to devote his full time to a growing consultancy, he was serving as Executive VP/COO with over 300 employees and a wholly owned Medicaid Health Plan.
In addition to his employment and his consulting work with his firm, FQHC Associates, Steve has been actively involved in the national CHC movement since 1988. He brings extensive experience in board training, strategic planning, IT, grant writing, staff development and a host of other services to CHCs and Primary Care Associations (PCAs) across the country. As a noted expert in topics including finance, operations, managed care, IT and governance, Steve is in great demand as a speaker at national CHC and state PCA conferences. Additionally, he has been on the board of the National Center for Farmworker Health for 15 years and currently serves as Immediate Past Chair.
Jill Steeley
Jill is a coach and consultant to Federally Qualified Health Center executive and clinical leadership teams all over the country.
For 8 years, Jill was the CEO of an FQHC in Helena, Montana. During that time, she launched a successful rebrand campaign, completed a $5 Million site remodel, added 3 additional sites, had a site built in the heart of downtown Helena, doubled and tripled the number of clinicians, and became the Employer of Choice for large businesses. She accomplished all of that while bringing the business out of a nearly $1 Million deficit, growing the annual revenue by 5x, building a multi-million dollar reserve, and more than doubling the number of annual unique patients.
