Rick Harbin, ARNP, M.S.N., M. Ed. - Clinical Consultant
Mr. Harbin has over 40 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner and 25 years of experience as a clinical consultant and reviewer for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), assisting CHC and Ryan White programs. He has extensive knowledge of HRSA requirements, Section 330 program statutes, and has consulted with more than 500 community clinics. His expertise, and the training he has provided, have equipped these clinics to successfully navigate all HRSA program requirements.
Mr. Harbin also has vast experience in identifying appropriate staffing, setting up credentialing and privileging procedures, standards of care, peer review, quality assurance programs, and HR policies and procedures. He frequently works with CHCs and their boards to optimize the roles and responsibilities of staff and to train board members in accordance with all regulations, providing tools and ongoing assistance to accomplish their goals. Mr. Harbin has additionally authored numerous publications for the Journal of Pediatric Nursing.
