Lesa Peterson, MA - Principal
Lesa Peterson is an accomplished Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operations executive with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry (16 of those years include FQHC-centric experience). She was the Director of Operations at a large migrant health center for nine years and has been consulting with FQHCs since 2014.
During her tenure as the Director of Operations at a large FQHC, she was responsible for medical and dental health center operations, operation of mobile medical and dental units, and managing partnerships with nonprofits and academic institutions. She was also responsible for development, grants management and donation tracking.
Lesa is a therapist by training, with a diverse background in social service. She is a proven leader in health center operations, program requirements and partnerships, and she has a wealth of expertise in federal regulations specific to HRSA, 330-funding, 340B, CMS, Medicare and Medicaid and utilizes her expertise to assist the firm’s clients.
Lesa also works concurrently with ElementOne Consulting, where she manages their compensation administration program for the Southeast region. She works in several of the firm’s practices, including staff and executive compensation, employee communications, and organization design.
